Why Not You?

I have been wrestling since I was six years old and fell in love with the sport right away. As a young wrestler I competed with energy and win or lose I always had a smile on my face. As I grew up I decided to take a chance and pursue this sport to chase something much greater. I set high goals of becoming a state, national, and world champion. In high school I decided to compete with the best athletes in the country and try to get noticed by college coaches from all over. I won 3 state titles in Iowa and was recruited by several d1 colleges across the country. I competed my first few years at the University of Northern Iowa and later decided to transfer to the University of Minnesota. This was one of the best decisions I have made for myself and it has opened a whole new world of opportunities. I have met some of my best friends that I consider family here at the U. I am currently striving to become a national champion at the highest level and only I can make that happen along with the help from my teammates and coaches. The biggest question I have always asked myself throughout my life is “why not me.” When you ask yourself this question it creates a sense of hope that maybe you can become something much greater than anyone ever expected. I want to become a national champion, and later on world champion. This can only be done by staying committed and working towards my goals to become great. You start by asking yourself, “Why Not You?” As I continue my journey towards these goals I want to keep my fans, family, and friends up to date on how I am doing and what it takes to get to the top. I started a blog and will continue to post about workouts, nutrition, and my overall daily living for those that want to follow along.
